Thousand-watt Warner Music Nashville and Sweety High phenom TEGAN MARIE has left her mark on one of the world’s BIGGEST stages, releasing an eye-popping video for “Keep It Lit” filmed on top of New York City’s iconic Empire State Building.
Performing high atop the Big Apple on the famous tower’s 86th Floor Observatory, the clip is still more proof that the rising star stands head and shoulders above her peers. As longtime supporters, Radio Disney has partnered with Warner Music Nashville and Sweety High to host the out-of-this-world video on the Radio Disney and DisneyNOW apps. The singer is also featured on a recent episode of Radio Disney Insider on the Disney Channel.
“In my 25+ years at Disney, I’ve been blessed to be part of supporting the music career launches of Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, the Jonas Brothers, Justin Bieber and many others,” says Vice President of Music Strategy for Disney Channels Worldwide and General Manager of the Radio Disney Network, Phil Guerini, who was on hand for the breathtaking film shoot. “These stars all have possessed from a very young age the rare and indefinable 'it' factor, which has propelled them to superstardom. From her undeniable vocal talent, natural stage presence and charisma, I see 'it' in spades in Tegan Marie!”
Still only 14 years old, “Keep It Lit” marks the Michigan native’s first release – and its official video has already gathered nearly 5 million YouTube views, helping earn the singer-songwriter big-time attention from ABC’s Good Morning America, NBC’s Today, Billboard, Huffington Post, Rolling Stone and more.
In related news, Tegan Marie has also been announced as a featured performer during Nashville’s upcoming 2018 CMA Music Festival. Taking the stage as part of Warner Night’s Cracker Barrel Country Roads Stage at Ascend Amphitheater on Saturday, June 9, Tegan Marie will join a lineup that also includes Cole Swindell, Cale Dodds, Morgan Evans and Michael Ray. The show is free and open to the public.
Tegan Marie just wrapped up a busy weekend in Las Vegas surrounding the Academy of Country Music Awards, making a splash on the show’s glitzy blue carpet and performing twice; once as part of ACM Party for a Cause: Tailgate Party at Stoney’s Rockin’ Country and again during the ACM Lifting Lives Topgolf Tee-Off.
The rising star’s new song, “I Know How To Make A Boy Cry” – produced by Scott Hendricks (Blake Shelton) and co-written with Nathan Chapman (Taylor Swift), Nelly Joy and Jason Reeves - is slated for release June 1. She is currently working with Hendricks and Chapman on her first album for Warner Music Nashville.
