GABBY BARRETT SURPRISED WITH THREE CAREER PLAQUES AHEAD OF BILLBOARD WOMEN IN MUSIC 2022 HONOR
Warner Music Nashville’s MULTI-PLATINUM star Gabby Barrett added even more plaques to her goldmine of accolades, as she was surprised with three by Billboard News host Chelsea Briggs on the red carpet ahead of the esteemed Billboard Women in Music 2022 event live from YouTube Theater in Inglewood, CA. The Rising Star Award recipient’s meteoric debut album, GOLDMINE, is now PLATINUM with smash chart-toppers “I Hope” at 6X PLATINUM and “The Good Ones” at 2X PLATINUM.
The only Country artist acknowledged at Billboard Women in Music 2022 with the Rising Star Award presented by Honda, Barrett – in a MAË PARIS dress – was introduced by Honda marketing executive Jessika Laudermilk, in addition to her husband Cade Foehner, before performing an acoustic version of “I Hope” – watch now. “Backed by Foehner on guitar and harmony, Barrett turned in a soaring, sultry version of the revenge song,” hailed Billboard. Her inspiring speech also made Billboard’s 12 Best Moments roundup – read here. Hosted by Ciara, other honorees included Olivia Rodrigo, Phoebe Bridgers, Doja Cat, Karol G, H.E.R., Bonnie Raitt, Saweetie, Summer Walker, and Golnar Khosrowshahi.
Marking Barrett’s second major honor in less than a week, she was named among Country Radio Broadcasters’ 2022 New Faces of Country Music last Friday (2/25) in Nashville, TN, and is now heading to Las Vegas, NV, to co-host the 57th Academy of Country Music Awards™ on Monday (3/7) live from Allegiant Stadium on Prime Video. The reigning New Female Artist of the Year is up for Female Artist of the Year and is set to perform with co-host Jimmie Allen as well.
Recently announced as an opening guest on select shows of Brooks & Dunn’s anticipated return to arenas on their REBOOT 2022 TOUR, Barrett will also be hitting the road this summer on Jason Aldean’s ROCK N’ ROLL COWBOY TOUR. Fans can find full tour details here.
