Throughout the interview Sturgill Simpson discusses his new album, now released, the process of recording the new album. Sturgill Simpson also talked about the song “Hobo Cartoon” which he had been sitting on for about four years, and how Merle Haggard had written the lyrics to it when he was in the hospital on his death bed.
