LIZ FRAME AND THE KICKERS RELEASING HOTLY ANTICIPATED ALL NEW COLLECTION SPARROW IN A SHOEBOX ON JUNE 8

Celebrated Boston-area Americana quartet double down on DelFest and Merlefest appearances with north and southeast tour throughout the summer

Liz Frame and the Kickers will release the exciting new Sparrow in a Shoebox on June 1! After all, good things come to those who wait. Seven long years have passed since the Boston-area quartet released its critically acclaimed first full-length album, Sooner. The years between have found powerhouse vocalist and songwriter Liz Frame busy writing, recording and touring choice rooms throughout the country as well as high-profile festivals like DelFest and Merlefest. Additionally, the group released the popular EP Justine (2014) while fans have waited patiently for a more substantial collection.

The wait's officially over. After Frame and the Kickers release Sparrow in a Shoebox with its nine original tunes in June, they’ll be on the road in support of the record this summer and fall and certainly will make some legions of new fans along the way. “Honestly, I feel like we’re this undiscovered little gem of a band,” Frame says. “I mean that in all modesty. We’ve worked hard the last five years — touring and recording, playing as many shows as we can, given our somewhat complicated lives outside of music. We all have days jobs, but we all love making original music. It sustains us. It’s what I love to do most.”

“Take a healthy dose of Aimee Mann, add a hint of Lucinda Williams and a dash of Chrissi Hynde, and you get the power and the glory that is singer/songwriter, Liz Frame,” says popular singer-songwriter and Berkley College of Music instructor Susan Cattaneo. “Full of memorable melodies and well-crafted lyrics, Liz’s new album Sparrow In A Shoebox confidently explores musical territory from honky tonk ballad to rocking Americana anthems. Liz Frame is one of my favorite artists, and this album deserves to be played often and loud.”
