CITY OF HOPE ANNOUNCES 28TH ANNUAL CELEBRITY SOFTBALL GAME SATURDAY, JUNE 9 AT FIRST TENNESSEE PARK

Country music’s biggest stars will be taking a swing at cancer when the City of Hope 28th Annual Celebrity Softball Game returns to First Tennessee Park on Saturday, June 9. This year’s artist lineup will be announced soon.

A highlight of the event each year is the “meeting on the mound,” where a City of Hope patient and donor meet for the first time. Last year, leukemia survivor, Nicole Schulz met her life-saving donor, Rian Lawrence at the pitcher's mound. There wasn’t a dry eye in the stands.

The game reached its highest ever attendance at the 27th Annual event with artist participation by Reba McEntire, Billy Ray Cyrus, Sara Evans, Vince Neil of Mötley Crüe, Lauren Alaina, Craig Morgan, Kellie Pickler, Jessie James Decker and her husband and NFL player, Eric Decker, Todd Chrisley, Savannah Chrisley and Grayson Chrisley of USA’s “Chrisley Knows Best,” Drew Scott and Jonathan Scott of HGTV’s “The Property Brothers,” The Swon Brothers, Danielle Bradbery, Aaron Watson, Jackie Lee, Trent Harmon, Maggie Rose, Miss Tennessee, Allee-Sutton Hethcoat, and Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth of ABC’s “The Bachelorette.” Legendary artists Lee Greenwood, Jeannie Seely and Tim Rushlow joined iHeart Media radio personality, Gator Harrison, for the play-by-play.
